Who we are: a youth mentoring and sports program in Northeast Ohio

Supporting communities through services that transcend the arenas we compete in.

Growing up in East Cleveland, Ohio, my life could have gone in many different directions. Luckily, sports and mentoring programs were my salvation.

While positive avenues were available, there were just as many detrimental paths and temptations I could have pursued or fallen victim to. I grew up in a fatherless household, with prevalent drug abuse, and surrounded by dangerous influences.

However, I refused to let these circumstances dictate who I would become and what I could accomplish, and I refused to use my exposure to detrimental household and street influences as an excuse to not be a better person, student, or athlete.

Throughout my life, the only true constants have been my grandmothers, uncles, aunts, and coaches. We shared a common bond of education and sports. Each one reinforced a vital, guiding truism: without education, there are no sports.

For someone like me, no sports meant no open path to a better future. I had no choice. Not having sports in my life was no option. I pursued the POWER OF EDUCATION because I understood the incomparable opportunities it provides.

I played sports locally at Shaw High School on football, basketball, and track teams. Eventually, I attended the California University of Pennsylvania and acquired my Master’s degree in sports management.

Without sports, I would have never even considered the possibility of college. My passion is changing young people’s lives and giving back to my community through unrivaled services that cater to the young athletes for a better lfe.

My background is why I cherish nurturing and supporting youth and adult athletes. My passion is passing on my knowledge and life experiences to kids and young adults to actualize their potential and guide them toward brighter futures.
